“Meida”-The story of Marie Delores Almeida Russell. | 96 page perfect bound soft cover book

Meida Russell is a 92-year-old woman, mother and former teacher currently living in Melbourne, Australia. Her story is an account of one woman’s incredible determination to survive war, depression, divorce and unimaginable changes in circumstance and society. The text of the book is interspersed with wonderful images taken between 1922 and 2006.

I wanted to create a design that embraced and further developed the vintage and old-worldly feel the photographs evoked. To do this, I selected a variety of beautifully cut fonts from H&FJ, creating a truly elegant, refined and aesthetically pleasing design.
